The romantic wedding destination of Fairyhill get a new addition to the grade II listed structure. kPa Consulting are the structural engineers for the scheme working with both Buckmaster Batcup and Raum Architects. The extension is a portalised steel frame of sloping and curved proportions. The large span open plan upper level is the new function space and below is the bridal accommodation. As well as a public sewer diversion enabling works included underpinning of the historic structure and traditional repairs. The function floor was dynamically assessed to resist the long span resonate frequencies from dancing and festivities.
