kPa were appointed to provide a full engineering service to the client to develop this greenfield site. This dream family home was designed by JA Rewbridge and constructed by Greens.
kPa undertook the infiltration testing drainage design and SAB application and structural design.
This large build incorporated large open plan ground floor areas, double height rear atrium area with gallery walkway. A large rear elevated patio was constructed from composite concrete construction over a garden room basement.
To achieve the large open spans with no large downstand beams at first floor level, steel hangers from the steel roof trusses supported steel beams from above.
Engineered timber joists allowed secondary spans up to 5m and steel trusses and beams were used in the roof to achieve 8m span vaulted roof areas.
The end result is a great family home to the highest quality.
