kPa Consulting Engineers

Kevin is a director and the principle of the company. Kevin takes a strategic management role in the company as well as being hands on design engineer.

 

Graduated from Sheffield University in 1994 and has worked in Sheffield and London for Structural Engineering Consultancies before moving to London Underground as the Asset Engineer for Sub Surface Lines. Follow a world trip he joined Martin Stockley Associates where he became a Director, and headed the southwest office. He started kPa as well as a family in 2009.

 

Kevin Painter is an award winning engineer having received the Institution of Structural Engineers North West Large Projects Structural Award for Budenberg HAUS Projekte in 2007.  In 2012 kPa Consulting Engineers won the Sustainable Swansea Built Heritage Award for Henbury Cottage.  Kevin was also shortlisted for the Wales 2012 awards by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for Bedwelty House and Park Project a £4million restoration of the grade 2 listed project in Tredegar. 

 

Kevin whilst principally a structural engineer specialising in luxury residential schemes and listed buildings he also regularly undertakes civil engineering, drainage, road schemes as well as expert witness work in industrial and commercial sectors.

 

Outside of work he enjoys sea kayaking, all outdoor sports and more recently triathlons.
